Saturday, January 16th, 2010

Unlike SEO or PPC strategies, social media is a much more personalized marketing strategy. Content of any kind that has been produced by the users them selves is great because it is honest opinions of the people involved first hand. This is why social media optimization is the key to success.

You will need to fully optimize the keywords you have chosen do you can publish up to date content instead of old and outdated information that has been available for a long time. Try to use the keywords you have as much as you can without over killing it in the content.

On the web, sites like Myspace, YouTube, Twitter and Facebook are extremely popular as well as easy ways to make a profit if you know what to do. There is no charge to use these sites even though they are the cutting edge of media today. When using SMO, SEO, and PPC you can utilize all of them to increase your visibility online and establish yourself as an expert in your field.

Blogging is one of the absolute best ways to keep the fresh content coming on a regular basis. There is always a new point of view you can take or new information about your niche that is available. This method lets you get much more personal than you can on a regular website.

Micro blogging is also another good thing to use. You can get very personal and very interactive with others by way of Twitter which in turn will increase your search engine rankings with the traffic you can draw in.

While you are online you should always be looking for sites where you can establish a presence in your niche. This doesn’t mean you have to be active on all of them, but if you use the right keywords you secure your spot there in your niche before someone else gets it. This is a great way to boost yourself in the search engines.

Anything you are doing online should be made so that people can share it with others fairly easily. Chicklets are best to use for this, since they allow for social bookmarking right from the blog or website. You can add them to your content to bookmark all of your new posts.

Another very important part of SMO is your participation in discussions. All the hard work you put in won’t matter much if you are quiet online. Commenting on blog posts, asking and answering questions and even just talking with others is a way to get your voice out there.

If you lack any online reputation management services, now is a good time to purchase one. Seo, Search Engine Optimization Is Gaining In Popular Use

Saturday, January 16th, 2010

SEO, search engine optimization is expanding its reach. With the popularity of Twitter and Facebook, optimized word use is changing its face once again. It is no longer just about web content on a web page. Google is indexing tweets and Facebook posts, thus these are becoming crucial ways of boosting a company’s presence on the internet.

If you plan on using Twitter to help your page ranking, you need to hit the ground running. Start with choosing a purposeful handle or username. Your username can then be found in the static address that will be created. Keep the username short, yet memorable so that people can find you easily.

Indexing your bio is another way to help increase your online presence. Keeping all of your indexed material very closely related to and relative to the business that you are representing will help you immensely. Keeping your descriptive inserts as poised and well positioned as possible will also boost your visibility. You get to do this with a whopping 160 characters, so think it through. It is best that you also optimize for SEO and PPC.

Allow your social networking to come full circle. This means that you can place your Twitter URL on other social networks, like Facebook or MySpace. On either or both venues, have a button available that will allow people to follow you on Twitter. This will create a positive and accurate call to action, so that you can accurately gauge the public interest.

When Twitter Tweets are indexed, the priority must remain within the first several characters despite the fact that the entire tweet ends up being indexed. The algorithms of Google focus intently on the initial characters of the Tweet to help filter out duplicate material and over use.

Some of the same rules apply to Twitter as they did to web pages. Try to use keywords or buzz words that surround your product or service. However do not just fill your tweets with keywords that do have a purpose or meaning in your tweet. People are reading these as you send then out. If they are totally nonsense, people will no longer follow you.

The traditional Twitter user is a person that is looking for more information on whatever subject that they are researching. It would be in your best interest to give them what they are hungering for. Include links and back links in your tweet. However, use links that will take them to place where they can get more information and not a dead end in cyberspace. They will be a more devoted follower that way. SEO, search engine optimization is not that different on Twitter but you do have to know the basic ins and outs to make it work effectively for you.

The Internet is already changing the way how our life works. It may be wise to start looking into utilizing it to increase your presence on the Internet. We can help your company utilize Toronto SEO and PPC to help increase your business.

Why The Top Three Listings In The SERPs Is The Best

Friday, December 4th, 2009

Every internet marketer wants to be on the first page of the Search Engine Results Pages – SERPs, for their target keywords. Marketing a website or blog is initially about getting a site indexed and then attaining a first page rank. They also want to be the first listing and will use a variety of methods to get there.

There are many internet marketing tools available to help you get ranked better. You also have to remember there are many many search engines for you to conquer. Yahoo has an index for most countries, and so does Google. These two search giants also power other indexes all over the planet.

Getting a site to rank well can be a very time consuming and difficult process, but considering what is at stake, the effort can be well worth it. After all, it is generally assumed that if you can get your site listed on the first page of the SERPs, it will pay off for you.

There is a misnomer that being on the first page is all you need to worry about. It is true that you want to be on the first page results but being higher on page one counts for more, it really is the end game.

Take a look at the sponsored listings above the organic search results. You will quickly realize they actually push organic returns down the listings. If this helps the searcher is debatable, but it does not help the internet marketer.

If the advertisement satisfies the query, which it should, it won’t help you as an internet marketer unless you buy in. After you’ve gotten to the first page and ranked in the fifth position, you will now be pushed below the fold as a result of a paid listing.

When you look at the search results you’ll also find sponsored listings on the right hand column of each page. These listings also draw clicks and dilute the organic listings. If you optimize your site or individual page for a single search term, you better be above the page fold to get the maximum benefit from your first page ranking.

Considering there are thousands of Internet Marketers competing in hundreds of search engines for millions of keywords, getting on the first page of the SERPs is quite an impressive accomplishment in and of itself. However, if you want to win in your niche, you will absolutely need to be in the top three, it is your best chance.

Do You Want To Dominate The SERPs And Be One Of The Top Three Listings. What You WantIs A Great Internet Marketing Tool And You Will Get There.

How To Super-Power WordPress Search Engine Optimization

Wednesday, October 28th, 2009

Wordpress out of the box allows basic management of the primary SEO meta data. To extend the functionality we add our own super-charged version of the All-In-One-SEO Pack. The SEO pack makes it simple to modify the page title and page meta description.

The All-In-One-SEO Pack is a great WordPress plugin that completes the SEO aspects for WordPress. For some reason WordPress still has not got the SEO fixed out of the box.

The All-In-One-SEO Pack allows you you to change the most important page components – page title and page description. It also permits you to change the page keywords, but as we all know, search engines no longer take note of these because they have been spammed too much in the past. Google stopped using the keywords for page ranking in the early 2000’s.

Page Titles

This is the No1 SEO element to manipulate. Constantly make sure that you manipulate the page title. The page title appears in the browser window at the very top of the screen. Search engines use this in the listings and display it in their search results.

Always try to make the page title only carry the keywords you want the page to rank for. Try to limit them to two or 3 maximum.

The page title is the MOST powerful SEO page element because it is like the title of a book. And just like a book title, if it is good it will be more engaging to readers.

If your page needs to stretch to cover two or three keywords we have learned that you can still get good rankings from adding multiple keywords to the title. However, always try to make the page title as close to the keyword you want to rank for. Adding extra non-beneficial words detracts from the results achieved.

If you are a larger branded company you will likely want to add your company or brand name into the page title seeing this is exposed on Google. Keep it short and simple though. Do not add your brand statement just your brand or company name.

Page Descriptions

This element is NOT used by search engines for ranking purposes. All The Same, virtually all search engines will employ this in their search results so it is important. We have discovered that Google will use the description most of the time. We have not yet discovered how it makes up its mind if to use it or not. At other times Google will use the first piece of text that it can find on the page. On Flash pages this can be an issue seeing there is no content. This is one reason why you should always add at least one sentence of HTML text on a Flash based page so Google and other search engines have something meaningful to display in the search results.

By having a good description it will increase your click through rates because the text will be more fascinating to people. Ensure that you use a maximum of 156 characters. If you use any more characters Google will truncate the rest. If you can keep your descriptions to 140 characters or less this is even better seeing Google sometimes adds a date to the start of the description which is part of the 156 characters it displays.

Changing the meta data and page title
