Link building is a vital part of building up your search engine rankings and increasing the number of visitors to your site. Aside from search engine related factors, it also helps get visitors to your site through directly clicking the links.

Link building is central to any SEO campaign. With a proper attitude and a clear plan, link building can make your goals a surety. What Is Link Building All About?

Most of the big players in the world of search engines seem to view links as a testament to the quality of your site. The more incoming links to your site from others, the more is implied in terms of the quality of your site.

One way link building

The domain BacklinksBreakthrough.com has been running for over a year now as a static site. But today I decided to convert it to a Wordpress BLOG — about one way link building, of course.

Part of the INSPIRATION today came from a clever idea by Jason Parker. You can read his post at http://atomicguitarist.com/?q=guitar-blogs-discovery-project. It’s a way that worked for him to get a whole slew of new niche-relevant links in a hurry. Though we’re not actually doing that here (yet?), Jason’s idea reminded me how many ways there are to skin this particular cat. (Colorful turn of phrase, nothing against cats, okay?)

The choice of the StudioPress THEME was inspired by Danny Wall’s example at http://dominancemarketing.com/blog. I’m a fan of his SEO insights so if it’s a good enough template for Danny to use, I’m using it too.

And of course, there is a huge NEED for information on how to get links. Almost every webmaster wants more incoming links.

Stay tuned. I’ll get this first post “out there” then we get into the good stuff.
