Can Using 3 Way Links Improve Your Page Rank?

Search engines decide your page rank using a variety of factors, but one of the main variables is link activity. If this is all new to you, don’t get your knickers in a twist, all will be explained.
Inbound links are simply links that direct to your site.
Links that point out to other websites from yours are called outbound links.
Internal links are pointing to pages within your site, from any other page on your website.
Swapping links with another website is called creating a reciprocal link. These are not always as useful in search engine’s eyes as other links.
Google will evaluate how many links are pointing towards your site, compared with how many outbound links you have. It can have a negative effect if you have a lot more outbound links than inbound ones. Your page rank can be effected, which can result in less traffic and sales.
Do you spend a lot of time writing articles, submitting to directories and social networking? Whilst these are all great ideas, there is a far easier and more effective way to do things and it is called Three Way Links. Basically it is a way to get unlimited backlinks to your site. I am sure you know, normally when creating a reciprocal link to a site, you link site A to site B and vice versa, whilst this is no bad thing, Google much prefers one way links and will reward your site with a higher page rank if you have these one way links coming in. Three way linking uses three different sites from one niche. Site A links to Site B, Site B links to site C and site C links back to site A.
Three way links are extremely high quality, as each site receives a unique link.
Three way linking could save you a lot of time and effort. Chasing down reciprocal links is no fun and you don’t even have to try and find three way links manually, as software can automate it all for you. Just set it and forget it. Do you know if Google knows that it is a three-way link? In other words, is a three-way link as good for a site as a one-way link?

It’s my understanding that Google does not know these are 3 way links. They know site1 links to site2. They know site2 links to site3. They know site3 links to site1. But they dont put all together to identify a 3way linking pattern.
So…. yes, to your question.
