Do-follow is really just a Internet slang word used by webmasters which means a link which omits the no-follow attribute. No-follow tells search engines not to follow and index the links meaning that it will not apply as a back link to the target site. So now it is apparently that we need to target sites with the no-follow tag omitted in order to build up back links.

If you are using blog commenting as a link building method ensure you are writing quality thought out comments which contribute something to the discussion, do not just post spam to try and gain your self a back link. If you do this the owner of the blog is quite likely to delete your comment and it doesn’t build a good reputation for you. Also if people start spamming do-follow sites all over the place people are likely to start changing them to no-follow to try and prevent spam.
